Huntington @ Smith town Jamboree March 23rd
| On a cold extremely windy day not fit to play lacrosse the Smithtown Jamboree hosted Huntington St. Anthony’s, Brewster, Oceanside and Garden City. The Devils started off the day playing Garden City. In a close contest with each team having some good play that went back and forth the Trojans had a slight 2 goal lead at the end of the scrimmage. Next the Devils played the host Smithtown. Huntington never found their offense and the defense was under a lot of pressure most of the scrimmage Smithtown had a 3 or 4 goal advantage at the end of the scrimmage. The Devils next played Brewster. Huntington controlled this contest creating numerous scoring chances throughout the scrimmage. There were some very good saves by the goalies on both teams. The Devils won this one by 4 or more goals. Next the Huntington squared off against the Sailors of Oceanside. This one went in the favor of the Devils. | Huntington @ Northport Scrimmage March 14th |
Northport controled the ball on their offensive half of the field from the start and throughout the scrimmage. Huntington scored the first goal of the scrimmage but Northport could not be stopped the rest of the scrimmage. Northport look like a team that had been practicing all winter and they took it to the Devils all day. Northport's goalie was great stopping a lot of good scoring opportunities. Huntington looked like it was their first scrimmage.
Freeport Multi Team Scrimmage
Huntington matched up with Massapequa to start the day. It was a close contest throughout the scrimmage with both teams trading goals. Massapequa edged the Devils by about two goals. The Devils played much better today on both ends of the field.
Next up for the Devils was St. Anthony's. St. Anthony's jump out in front at the start of the scrimmage and held the advantage most of the scrimmage. This was a good competitive contest.
The host Freeport was next for the Devils. This game was physical from the start as both teams were very aggressive. The Devils held the advantage in this one.
Last up was Longwood. The Devils again held the advantage in this one. Play was back and forth with a lot of fast breaks and some sloppy play as both teams looked tired. Over a very good day with a lot of improvement on both defense and offense.
